Hi Everyone!

Today I'm going to be sharing with you all of the
products I use in my skin care routine. I use quite a few
products but not as much as some. This combination
has worked great for me but I can't guarantee
that it will work for you too.

Video

PRODUCTS I USE:

Makeup Remover(face):
Equate Beauty - Original Clean
Wet Cleansing Towelettes

Makeup Remover(eyes):
Rimmel London - Just Let It Go
Gentle Eye Make Up Remover
(on a cotton round)

Face Mask:
Freeman - Facial Clay Mask
Avocado & Oatmeal

Cleanser:
Clean & Clean - Deep Action
Cream Cleanser
(with a spin brush)

Eye Cream:
Garnier - Ultra-Lift
Anti-Wrinkle Firming Eye Cream

Astringent:
Clean & Clear - Essentials
Deep Cleaning Astringent
(on a cotton round)

Step One:
Remove any makeup you have on. This seems
pretty obvious but often gets overlooked by many.
Sleeping in your makeup is one of the worst things
you can ever do to your skin. At night while you sleep,
your skin is repairing it. You don't want a film of makeup
on you skin when going through this process.

Step Two:
Face Mask. I like to use a face mask at LEAST once a
week. It helps clean deep down to your pores, leaving
your skin feeling clean and refreshed. I use it about every
other day but wouldn't suggest using it more than that.
Face mask come in a variety. Some are clay based,
others you just peel off. Depending your skin type
some will work better than others so I suggest reading
up on what will be the best for you and trying a few out.

Step Three:
This is honestly one of the most important steps.
Along with the cleanser I use a spin brush. This cleanser
works great for me, but I have to give a LOT of credit to
the spin brush. The bristles reach down into your pores
a million times better than what you do with just your
finger tips. If you have very acne-prone skin I think
that this might help. I have a friend who's very acne-prone
and has helped clear her skin up quite a bit. Plus, it's a lot
cheaper than a Clarisonic and if it doesn't work for you
or you just don't like it you didn't spend as much money
on it as you would have with the Clarisonic.

Step Four:
Eye cream. You don't need it but if you're around
the age of 23 I suggest starting to use one to help
prevent premature wrinkles. I'm only 17 but since I
wear makeup all over my eye area my under eyes have
been noticing a few fine lines so i decided to start using
one. I haven't been using it for very long, about 2 weeks,
so I'm not sure how well this particular one works. Plus,
I only use it at night before I go to bed. One thing I have
noticed is my eyelashes. Ever since I first started using this
they have been a lot longer, thicker, stronger, and overall
just a lot healthier. I had been wearing a lot of mascara on
a daily basis and noticed that after about a week or two
my lashes were shorter and more brittle. But then when I
started to use an eye cream they got nice and strong again.
So if you're a daily mascara wearer and have noticed that
your lashes seem a lot shorter and more brittle than the have
been in the past maybe using an eye cream will help bring back
some moisture to your lashes while helping with wrinkles.

Step Five:
To finish off I use an astringent. I'm still not 100%
sure what it is meant to do but I have seen a difference.
I don't get a lot of pimples but this is amazing for them.
The day I got this I felt a pimple coming on, the are was sore
and felt hard,  I put some of this on it. When I woke up the
next morning it was gone. No joke. It was completely gone!
That is amazing. I also had a pimple that had already surfaced
so I put some of this on there too and two days later it was
gone too. The only down side of this product is that it
has an intense chemical scent. It has salicylic acid in it
along with "acne medication" so I assume that's the
cause of the strong scent.

And that's it! That is everything that I use on my skin on a daily
basis. It works wonders on my skin and I hope that this was helpful.
I have oily skin and it isn't sensitive so I can be kind of rough with it.
If you have more sensitive skin the only product that is harsh on the skin
would be the astringent so you can skip that step. Plus they're all drugstore
products so their easy to find no matter where you are. But overall I really like
all of these products and would suggest them to everyone. If you have any
questions please feel free to ask me in the comments down bellow! :)

Review Week: Day 5

Hi Everyone!
For the review weeks finale I wanted to do a makeup
brand review. One brand that I have a whole array of
products from is NYX. I've heard a lot of hyp over all of
the products and wanted to try them out and share my
thoughts on them with all of you.

Blush

Left-Right: Pinky, Bourgeois Pig, Desert Rose

I really like these blushes overall. They're extremely soft
and glide on smoothly. They may not look very vibrant or
highly pigmented but I kind of like that. I don't want to have
to be super careful with me makeup application and this is great
if you're like me. You can build up the color with ease or just
lightly sweep it on for a very subtle glow of color. Also,
the Pinky and Bourgeois Pis are fully matte and Desert Rose
has the tiniest bit of a shimmer to it that makes your
cheeks have a little glow to them and the color makes
you and your skin look nice and healthy.
Splurge or Save?
Definitely try them out. They're not too
pricey so even if you end up not
liking them you didn't spend
too much on them

Eyes

Row 1: VooDoo Love Spells | Row 2: En Fuego
On the Left: Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk

I honestly don't really have anything bad to say
about these eye shadows or the jumbo eye pencil.
They're both fantastic products. When I first got VooDoo
Love Spells they weren't very good. I swatched them and
was just disappointed. They barely showed up then but now
that I've used it quite a few times they colors are a lot more
pigmented. As for the En Fuego, I haven't even worn it on
my eyes yet and already love them. The second I touched
them I liked them. They feel as soft as velvet. Plus the
pigmentation is superb. They swatch above is with
very little product even applied and they show
 up very well.
 Splurge or Save?
I LOVE these so much and
can't suggest them enough
so definitely try them

Lips

Row 1: Creme Brulee, Merengue, Apple Strudel
Row 2: Eclair, Peaches&Cream, Vanilla Cream Pie
To the Left: Lipstick in Hero

Okay, so I haven't had the best experience with NYX's lipsticks
but I do really like their butter glosses. The Butter Glosses are so
rich, smooth, and creamy. They glide on easily and are highly
pigmented. As for the lipsticks, what can I say? I just haven't
had the best luck. I bought one forever ago from the "Black
Label Lipstick" line and I truly hated it. It just didn't look good
on me. Plus I had my sister try it on and it didn't look good on
her and she has an olive skin tone. It settled into even the
smallest lines of my lips and just looked horrible so I threw
it away long before I planned to do this. But as for the one
shown, I really like it. I wish it came out how it looks like in
the tube but it's still beautiful. I did buy both of them online,
along with everything else, and just suggest looking up
reviews of it or see if someone used it in a makeup tutorial
on YouTube or in a blog post so you can see it swatched
and what it looks like on the lips. I wish I would have been
able to do that, or would have thought of it, when buying
these. But overall I really like both the lipstick and
the butter glosses.
Splurge or Save?
Butter Glosses: Go for it
Lipsticks: Try to get one that
you've seen used or were able to swatch

Where to Buy: http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/

I hope that this was helpful if you were curious about the makeup brand
NYX. Overall I really like this brand and their prices are great. I would definitely
suggest the trio in En Fuego, the butter glosses in Vanilla Cream Pie, and
Eclair, the blush in Desert Rose and the Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. They're
probably my favorite out of all of the products I have and know that
a lot of others love them as well.

Review Week: Day 4

Hi Everyone!
Today's review is going to be on my makeup brush set
I absolutely love these brushes. I have some other brushes from
random companies, mainly e.l.f. but these are so much better. They
are a mixture of goat hair and synthetic fibers.

                                           Pros:                                                        Cons:
                                     High quality                                                Not vegan friendly
Not very expensive                                          Can only get online
                                      Very soft

Here's a picture of the case the brushes come in

It unrolls and has a flap that helps protect them

This is all of the brushes it comes with

Okay, so this brush set comes with 22 brushes. The price for
this is $34. When compared to brush sets from companies like
MAC or Sigma which are $100+ this is an absolute steal. They are
super soft and extremely high quality. There is an assortment of different
kinds of brushes. There's one for powder, blush, bronzer, foundation,
multiple concealer brushes, and  quite a few for eye shadow. These are the
only brushes I use and I absolutely love them. They're the main reason I
can do makeup well and love it so much. The case is perfect for travel and
even has a zipper compartment to store makeup so you don't have to bring
a bunch of extra makeup bags to keep your makeup in while traveling.
The crocodile case is a beautiful purple/maroon and looks very
classy and is nice and sleek.

Links To Purchase:

So overall I think this is brush set is perfect for beginners and even
more advanced makeup artists. The price for these is superb and
there aren't a lot of makeup brush sets at this price that is such
amazing quality. I hope this was helpful if you're newer to
makeup and want a nice set of brushes to improve your
makeup skills and the appearance of your makeup.

Review Week: Day 3

Hi Everyone!
So for day 3 of review week I wanted to review a general product
that multiple companies have out instead of something that only one
brand has and that is harder to find. I decided to do the jumbo lip
crayons because it has become one of the biggest crazes
 in the drugstore recently.

Products Mentioned:
Revlon - ColorBurst Matte Balm
Cover Girl - LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss Balm
Hard Candy - All Glossed Up
Sally Hanson - ColorFast
Rimmel - Color Rush
Tarte - LipSurgence

Drug Store Products

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Striking

So overall I really like this product. It's not 100% matte but I'm okay
with that. The color is too orange for my like since I like blue
toned reds but it is still a beautiful color. Plus the pigmentation of this is
superb and very build able.
Price: $7.99
Splurge or Save?
I would definitely say go for it and splurge.

Cover Girl LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in 210
Okay, so overall I was very disappointed in this. It doesn't give my
lips any color at all. It honestly looks like my lips do when I have only
a clear lip balm on them. The color is almost nonexistent. After filming
my review I realized that it does say "sheer color, soft shine" but still, if
I'm going to spend my money and time on a lip product I want a noticeable
difference from my natural lip color to the applied product color.
Price: $6.99
Splurge or Save?
Definitely save your money if your like me and
want to be able to see a difference

Hard Candy All Glossed Up in Cupcake
Okay, so when I first got this and tried it on I really didn't like the
color on me but I LOVE the texture. It's very creamy and has a nice
glossy finish. The pigmentation is awesome but sadly there aren't a lot
of colors and you can only get this brand at Wal-Mart. But aside
from that I absolutely love these and will be purchasing more.
Price: $6
Splurge or Save?
Splurge

Sally Hanson ColorFast in Made Me Blush

I have to say I was very impressed with this. I've never tried anything from
Sally Hanson before, aside from their nail polishes, and wasn't sure how
good it would be since they mainly do nail products. It's very creamy and
moisturizing and has a good amount of color.
Price: $5 (about)
Splurge or Save?
I've really liked this every time I've worn it so Splurge!

Rimmel Color Rush in The Redder, The Better
I have to say that I like this red a little bit better than the Revlon
one because it's not quite as orange. The pigmentation is very nice
and has a glossy finish. I really like these but Rimmel is pretty much
my favorite drugstore brand. Their is an okay color selection, not
a ton but not just a few.
Price: $4.99
Splurge or Save?
This is a must have to me so splurge

High End Products

Tarte LipSurgence in Thoughtful
Tart LipSurgence in Wonder
Tarte LipSurgence in Precious
Tarte LipSurgence in Promise
I absolutely love these. They are so smooth, creamy, and extremely
pigmented. Plus Tarte is a Vegan friendly brand and uses mostly natural
ingredients in their products. Note, they do have a mint scent. I got all four of these
in a Tarte holiday gift set and I'm so glad I did. These are one of my all time
favorite lip products. They're packed with moisture and color plus they don't
leave your lips  feeling sticky like some other ones do. I love the colors and they
have a large selection of shades and finishes on the Tarte Cosmetics website.
Thoughtful is a bit too brown for my liking  but the rest are perfect.
Wonder is a beautiful coral/orangey pink color. Precious is a nice soft
natural looking pink. And Promise is a nice berry/plummy redish pink
color and has been my favorite color to wear all winter.
Price: $24
Splurge or Save?
Definitely splurge. They are worth every penny
and I will be buying more

I hope that this was helpful if you were trying to decide if or which one(s) you
should get. I have been loving pretty much all of the ones I have and if you have any
suggestions as to ones I may like please leave them in a comment down below. Also,
do you know of a good drugstore blue toned red lipstick from the drugstore? I've been
on the hunt and really need some suggestions! Thanks so much for taking the time
to read this and even following me. It means a lot to me that anyone would be interested
in my thoughts and opinions :)

Review Week: Day 2

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to day two of Review Week, where I review a new
product everyday Monday through Friday. Today's review is on
the Wet n' Wild Mega Sparkle and Mega Shimmer loose pigments.

                                       Pros:                                                              Cons:
                                   Inexpensive                                                      Very Messy
Can be Found Almost Anywhere                      Filter Doesn't Stay in Well
Not Many Colors to Pick From

Well now that you know the basics of my opinion I'll go into
more depth on my thoughts on these. So to start off I'll tell you the main
differences between the two. I'ts pretty obvious because of their names
but I will describe them to the best I can. The Mega Shimmer is a finely milled,
soft, creamy, loose pigment while the Mega Sparkle is a rough glitter.

So onto my actual opinions. To start off, these are extremely messy.
When you first open them after you've purchased them there is a sticker
covering the filter. When I went to take them off of mine the entire filter came
off and made quite a mess. Also, there aren't a lot of colors to choose from
which is disappointing since the formulation of these are amazing. If you're
just starting to use pigments and don't want to spend too much I would
definitely suggest these. Even if you're a makeup pro these would be great to
add to your collection. If you're not sure which you would like best I would
suggest the Mega Shimmer if you're newer to makeup don't like your makeup
to be too bold. But if you're a bit more adventurous with your makeup and like
to experiment I would suggest the Mega Sparkle.

How I Like to Use Them:
I like to use the Mega Shimmer on the inner corner of my eyes or on the
middle/ball of my eyelid or even on my cheeks very lightly as a beautiful
highlight. As for the Mega Sparkle I like to put it in my inner but mostly on
my lower lash line for a pop of sparkle.

Here I did the opposite and put the shimmer on the
inner corner and the sparkle on the ball of my lids

Here's a picture of the filter

Over all I think these are amazing and worth every penny. Just be careful when
using them and you shouldn't have to many problems. I hope this was helpful
and let you know about a newer product at the drugstore :) If you have any
questions or requests for products to be reviewed or tutorials I should do
leave them down below in a comment! And don't forget to follow so you
can see Review Week Day 3. Thanks so much for reading!

Review Week: Day 1

Hi Everyone!
So today I am going to be reviewing the new
 Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation.

My YouTube Review

                                             Pros:                                                     Cons:
                                       Smooth Texture                              Small Shade Selection
Creamy/Easy to Blend                    DIDN'T KEEP ME MATTE
                                         Inexpensive
                                          Soft Finish

Okay so to start off I just want to say that this is my
own personal experience and will vary from person to person
depending on what skin type you have.

I have worn this at least 20 times and each time my experience
is the same. It doesn't keep me matte. I have oily skin so pretty much
anything that claims to keep you matte draws me in.

I get oily right around my nostrils, the tip of my nose, and a bit on my
cheeks closest to my nose. When I wore this foundation it looked so good.
It has great coverage for me since I don't have a lot of redness or much
acne that I would want/need to cover. It still lets some of my freckles show
through but overall, coverage wise, it would be perfect for everyday wear.
Unfortunately it didn't do it's biggest claim. Keep me matte or control my oil.
It actually made the areas where I get oily even more oily and shiny.

So, overall I would say that if you have oily skin like I do then save your
money and skip this. On the other side if you have normal/combination skin
then maybe give it a try. I hope this helps if you were curious about this new
foundation from the drugstore. Let me know what you think if you've tried
this in the comments down bellow! I'd love to hear your experience :)

Other Pictures

I hope these photos and my personal insight was helpful.
As always leave me any general comments or suggestions as to
what I should review, DIY, or do a tutorial for!

How to Create The "Sock Bun"

I have always loved the look of the "sock bun" but I hated trying to do it since
I have dark hair and I only have white socks. I knew there were probably
other ways to do it that didn't require the destruction of a perfectly innocent
little sock. And then I found it. One of the best hair inventions in
quite some time. I call it, the hair "donut"

Supplies You Will Need:
Bun Maker
2 Hair Ties
Several Bobby Pins
Optional Hair Accessories

Step One:
Take the first hair tie and put your hair up into a ponytail
wherever you want your bun to be

Step Two:
Take you bun maker and pull your ponytail
through the hole in the middle

Step Three:
Spread your hair out so that it is evenly covering the bun
maker. Then with the hair tie, pull it over the hair to keep
 it in place

Step Four:
Wrap the excess hair around the base of the bun and bobby
pin the hair into place

Step Five:
Add the hair accessories for that added
cute little touch

And there you have it! Super cute and easy :) I really hope you
enjoyed this hair tutorial. If you did, please comment down
bellow what you'd like to see from me next and follow so
you can see all of my future posts!

xoxo,
Wren
